【约壹3:16】主为我们舍命，我们从此就知道何为爱，我们也当为弟兄舍命。【1 John3:16】This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

人们都知道爱是好的，无论是谁都渴望爱，寻寻觅觅到最后都是伤害，因人里面根本没有爱，把自己交给人就是交给伤害。People know that love is good. Everyone longs for love, but they often end up hurting after searching for it, because there is no true love in people. Giving oneself to others is giving oneself to hurt.惟有回到主前，才真知道何为爱？主为我们舍命，为我们的罪流血牺牲，最后被钉在十字架上，我们从此就知道何为爱。Only by returning to the Lord can we truly know what love is. Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, shed His blood and sacrificed for our sins, and was finally nailed to the cross. From then on, we know what love is.惟有基督在我们还作罪人的时候为我们死，神的爱就在此向我们显明了。Only Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and God's love was revealed to us here.

谁会为罪人死呢？惟有耶稣基督还在我们作罪人的时候，为我们的自私，为我们的不信，为我们的贪婪，为我们的偷窃，为我们的骄傲，为我们的专顾自己……Who will die for sinners? Only Jesus Christ. When we were still sinners, He shed His blood and gave His life for our selfishness, our unbelief, our greed, our stealing, our pride, our self-centredness...流血舍命，为我们的罪受鞭伤，受刑罚，受苦痛，祂是那样的甘心，没有一句怨言。主为我们舍命，我们就从此知道何为爱，我们也当为弟兄舍命。He was so willing and had no complaints. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

主啊，我赞美你这份爱何等的长阔高深，我是如此的不配，却是如此被恩待。Lord, I praise You for the length, breadth, height, and depth of this love. I am so unworthy, but I am so favoured.我们如何回报这份恩情呢？惟有遵行神的命令彼此相爱，靠着主为弟兄舍命。How can we repay this kindness? Only by obeying God’s command to love one another and relying on the Lord to lay down His life for His brothers.为每一个向我一样不可爱的罪人舍命，天天的舍己，裂开自己，在最痛的时候仍然去爱，效仿你把爱活在伤口，才知道惟有主的爱才能做到，我们才真正的认识何为爱。He lays down His life for every unlovable sinner like me, denies Himself every day, tears Himself apart, and continues to love even when it hurts the most. I follow Your example and live my love in my wounds. Only then do I know that only the Lord’s love can do this, and only then can we truly understand what love is.

亲爱的父，你的爱深触我心，你给我们作了爱的榜样，你不是等我们改好了，完全了才来爱我们，而是在我们还作罪人的时候，你的爱就临到了我们。Dear Father, Your love deeply touches my heart. You set an example of love for us. You don't wait until we are reformed and perfect to love us, but when we are still sinners, Your love comes to us.我说我爱神，却恨我的弟兄，我就是说谎话的；不爱我所看见的弟兄，怎能爱看不见的神呢？If I claim to love God yet hate a brother or sister is a liar; if I don't love my brother and sister whom I have seen, how can I love God whom I have not seen?主啊，你的救恩广阔，惟有将生命献上，当作活祭，每天实行爱弟兄为要纪念你的恩情。Lord, Your salvation is vast. Only by offering my life as a living sacrifice and practising loving my brothers every day can I remember Your grace. (郭姊妹Sister Guo)
