【撒下21:1】大卫年间有饥荒，一连三年，大卫就求问耶和华。耶和华说：“这饥荒是因扫罗和他流人血之家，杀死基遍人。”【2 Samuel21:1】During the reign of David, there was a famine for three successive years; so David sought the face of the LORD . The LORD said, “It is on account of Saul and his blood-stained house; it is because he put the Gibeonites to death.”

遇到饥荒，我们会如何祷告呢？主啊，求你怜悯我们，赐下丰收，救我们脱离饥荒…显然，神不会听这样的祷告。In times of famine, how should we pray? "Lord, have mercy on us, grant us a bountiful harvest, and deliver us from famine." However, clearly, God may not respond to such prayers. 大卫因连续三年的饥荒求问神，神指示：是因扫罗杀了基遍人。When there was a famine for three consecutive years during David's reign, he sought the Lord, and God revealed the cause: it was due to Saul's unjust actions against the Gibeonites. 基遍人曾用欺骗的手段与约书亚立约。扫罗凭着自己发热心，杀了基遍人，更是撕毁了与基遍人所立的约。The Gibeonites had previously deceived Joshua and made a covenant with Israel. Saul, in his misguided zeal, broke that covenant by killing the Gibeonites.

饥荒、瘟疫、地震、干旱、洪水…都是神所掌管的！为何神允许这些灾难发生？Famine, plagues, earthquakes, droughts, and floods are all under God's sovereign control! Why does God allow these disasters to happen? 申命记二十八章中，祝福与咒诅的话语，何等真实！我们若只求祝福，却不遵行神的命令，只能妄求得不着了。In Deuteronomy 28, the words of blessing and cursing are so real! If we only seek blessings without obeying God's commands, we will ask in vain. 原来是罪叫我们与神隔绝，使神不听我们的呼求。当大卫带领百姓堵上一切的破口，此后神垂听国民所求的。It is sin that separates us from God and causes Him not to hear our cries. When David led the people to make restitution and close the breaches, God then responded to the prayers of the nation.

主啊，在我的生命中，发生各种灾祸、急难、疾病、损失时，求你赦免我，带着拜偶像的心，只求你帮我解决难处，祷告没有回应，还抱怨神偏心，Lord, when various disasters, crises, illnesses, and losses happen in my life, forgive me for seeking only solutions, praying without response, and complaining that You are unfair. 却没有寻求主，你的旨意是什么？借着这些环境，你要对我说什么？我生命中有什么样的论断、苦毒、不饶恕、争竞、嫉妒…使我落在咒诅之下？I fail to seek Your will and ask, "What are You trying to say to me through these circumstances? What judgments, bitterness, unforgiveness, strife, or jealousy in my life have brought curses upon me?"

主，你是守约施慈爱的神，我要回转归向你！Lord, You are a covenant-keeping and merciful God, and I desire to turn back to You! 主，带领我更深认识你的圣洁公义，认识你做事的法则，使我敬畏你，恨恶罪恶，堵上自己的破口，遵行你的命令！Lead me to a deeper understanding of Your holiness and righteousness, and of Your ways, so that I may fear You, hate sin, close my breaches, and obey Your commands! 主啊，求你也更新我们的祷告，使我们照着你的旨意祈求，就无不得着！求你兴起我们站在破口中，为你的国和义祈求， 使万民归向你！Lord, renew our prayers so that we may ask according to Your will and receive!
