【撒上17:45】大卫对非利士人说：“你来攻击我，是靠着刀枪和铜戟；我来攻击你，是靠着万军之耶和华的名，就是你所怒骂带领以色列军队的神。【1Sa 17:45】David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

面对巨人歌利亚，扫罗和以色列众人都惊惶，逃跑，极其惧怕，四十日之久不敢迎战。纵然哥哥们说大卫骄傲，纵然敌人看着很强大，少年大卫却不是凭着刀枪、铜戟与仇敌战斗。Facing the giant Goliath, Saul and all the Israelites were frightened and ran away. They were so afraid that they did not dare to fight for forty days. Even though his brothers said that David was proud, and even though the enemy looked very powerful, young David did not fight his enemies with swords, spears, and bronze halberds. 大卫不看环境，不被人的评价所左右，他依靠的是万军之耶和华的名！大卫为神的荣耀而战，神的名必得胜！David did not look at the environment or be swayed by people's evaluations. He relied on the name of the Lord of hosts! David fought for the glory of God, and God’s name prevailed!

大卫的得胜在于他深知所信的神是谁！神救他脱离狮子和熊的爪，也必救他脱离非利士人的手。万军之耶和华的名，岂能容让非利士人来怒骂羞辱？David’s victory was because he knew who the God he believed in was! God delivered him from the paw of the lion and the bear, and He would deliver him from the hand of the Philistine. How can the name of the Lord of hosts be allowed to be insulted by the Philistines? 年少的大卫用一个石子击败歌利亚，使普天下的人都知道以色列中有神！争战的胜败全在乎耶和华！大卫高举神的名，自己也被神高举。The young David defeated Goliath with a stone, letting the whole world know that there was a God in Israel! The victory or defeat of the battle belongs to the Lord! David exalted God's name, and he himself was exalted by God.

仇敌时常挑衅说：你的神在哪里呢？你的神活着，你怎么还这么失败？The enemy often provokes: Where is your God? If your God is alive, why are you still such a failure?今天我要胜过的“歌利亚”，不是人、事、物…是我的面子、自尊、骄傲、虚荣，是我的不信、惧怕、操纵、控制，是我的旧人和旧人深信的谎言！主啊，求你赦免我，羞辱了你的名！这个旧人只配得与你同钉十字架。The "Goliath" I want to defeat today is not people or things; it is my face, self-esteem, pride, vanity, my unbelief, fear, manipulation, and control. It is my old self and my old self's deeply held lies! Lord, please forgive me for dishonouringyour name! This old self only deserves to be crucified with you.
