We’ve shared a series on sonship. 我们已经分享了一系列关于儿子名份的道。Today, we’ll look at the need for transformation of our hearts今天让我们来看，我们需要心意更新 as we go on in our journey towards the designed sonship of the gospel. 当我们走在因福音而得儿子名份的路上。After we’ve been born again into God’s family, 当我们重生进入神家之后，we all are on a journey of transformation.我们的生命在经历更新。 It should be ongoing, 这是持续的，and we must continue to grow in Jesus. 我们的属灵生命要不停在耶稣里长大。

There is a Greek word “sozo”, 有一个希腊词“sozo”，which appears over 100 times in the NT在新约里出现100多次, and is most commonly translated as ‘salvation’. 通常被翻译为“拯救”。 The Greek word “Sozo” has been translated in the NT in several ways, 希腊词“sozo” 在新约里有几种翻译，it means: 1, save or be saved. 1. 救恩或被救。(Matt 太1:21, 1 Cor 林前1:21), "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name JESUS: because he will save [sozo] his people from their sins." Matthew 太1:21她将要生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫耶稣，因他要将自己的百姓从罪恶里救出来。 2, be healed.  2被医治 (Mark可 5:23, Luke 路8:36， 23 He (Jairus) pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed (sozo) and live.睚鲁再三地求他，说：”我的小女儿快要死了，求你去按手在她身上，使她痊愈，得以活了。” 3, made whole成为完全 (Matt太 9:22, Mark可 5:28) "If I just touch his clothes, I will be made whole [sozo]."我只摸他的衣裳，就必痊愈。 4, be delivered, 被释放5, be restored. 得以恢复。

In Luke 8, 路8章中， there’s a story where Jesus cast demons out of a man with a legion of demons. 有件耶稣将群鬼从一个鬼附者身上赶出去的事。And the man was completely delivered and restored.这人完全得释放和恢复了。 In that text, 在那个经文里，once again the Greek word ‘sozo’ is used.希腊词sozo再次被使用。Deliverance from demons has been provided by the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross and is a part of salvation. 耶稣死在十字架上使我们从魔鬼权下得释放，这是救恩的一部分。The original word “Sozo” (salvation) speaks of a quality of life原文“Sozo”(救恩)说的是一种生命质量，where there is nothing missing, nothing broken, and everything functions according to divine design.指没有残缺，没有破坏，一切在神圣的设计中发挥功效。

1, The need for transformation. 更新的需要

So experiencing the fullness of “sozo” (salvation) is actually a process. 因此，经历完整的“救恩”实际上是一个过程。It’s not just one minute after believing in Jesus, 不是说在信耶稣一分钟后，and  we can say, 就可以说，“I’ve been made whole because I’m saved.” “我得以完全，我得救了。” It’s a lifelong journey on which we are being transformed into the likeness of Christ. 改变像耶稣是一生的过程，This’s a process of restoring everything which was missing or broken in our old lives是一个恢复我们过去生命中的残缺或破碎的过程，and bringing us into the fullness of what God has designed for our destinies in Christ.并将我们带入神在基督里为我们所预定的丰盛的生命里。And the result is a mature state of Sonship. 其结果是一个满有儿子身量的样子。

Because the fullness of salvation doesn’t only contain the forgiveness of our sins, 因为这全备的救恩不仅仅是我们的罪得赦免，but also includes rewards. 更有奖赏的部分。Forgiveness is unconditional love from God, 罪得赦免是神给我们的无条件的爱，which Jesus paid for on the Cross for everyone who believes. 是耶稣在十字架上为信祂的人所付的代价。 But all the rewards written in the bible are conditional promises, 但是所有圣经上关于奖赏的应许都是带条件的，if you read them carefully, 如果你仔细阅读，you’ll find that they all involve an ‘if’, 你就会发现都带着“如果”的条件，if you do this, 如果你这么做，God will do that. 神就会这么做。“If you overcome, you’ll be able to sit with me on my throne…如果你得胜了，你就会和我一同坐在我的宝座上…” Romans 8:17-19, 罗马书8：17-19， Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. 既是儿女，便是后嗣，就是神的后嗣，和基督同做后嗣。如果我们和他一同受苦，也必和他一同得荣耀。18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 我想，现在的苦楚若比起将来要显于我们的荣耀，就不足介意了。19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.受造之物切望等候神的众子显出来。 It says, yes, we’re children of God, 这里说了，的确，你是神的儿女，we’re co-heirs with Christ because of the Spirit of God who is within us.因为神的灵住在你里面，你和基督同做后嗣。 But, if we wanna share in Christ’s glory to sit with him on His throne, 但是，如果你想要坐在祂宝座上同享基督的荣耀 and to rule with Him in His Kingdom, 在神国里与他一同掌权，we need to be transformed into Christ’s Character likeness. 你需要长成满有基督的身量。

There’s an ‘if’,这里有一个“如果”的条件，it means sharing in His glory is a conditional promise, 意思是同享神的荣耀是一个带条件的应许，not all of the people of God will sit with Him on His throne, 不是所有神的子民都能与他一同坐在宝座上，just like not every citizen of NZ is a member of parliament, 就像不是每个新西兰公民都是国会议员一样， only those who share in Christ’s suffering and become mature sons will be, 只有那些与基督一同受苦，成为成熟儿子的人才能得着，that’s a reward.这是一个赏赐

One of the criminals who crucified with Jesus doesn’t have that chance, although he believed in Jesus. 那其中一个和耶稣一起钉十字架的罪犯没有这个机会，虽然他也信了耶稣 because he doesn’t have the chance to be transformed into Christlikeness因为他没有这个机会被改变像基督. But this is an invitation for all believers who still live in this world.但更是对所有信徒的邀请。Because God wanna transform us into His fullness, so that we can inherit all that belongs to Him.  因为神想把我们改变更新进入祂丰盛的生命，使我们继承属于祂的一切。But there is a condition 但是这里有一个条件- “sharing in his suffering与他一同受苦”. What is Christ’s suffering? 基督受什么苦呢？Simply, “Father, not my will, but Yours be done.” 简单地说，“父阿，不要成就我的意思，只要成就你的意思，。”To carry out the Father’s will is to kill our own wills.成就父的旨意就是丧掉我们自己的意思。 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. Romans 8:7a原来体贴肉体的就是与神为仇。罗马书8：7上. Our own wills are always self- seeking, 我们自己的意愿总是求自己的益处，“I…I want…me…mine…我，我要，我，我的…” self-centred thinking leads us to brokenness, blindness, sin and death. 自我中心的思想将我们引向破碎、灵里眼瞎、罪和死亡。So overcoming the flesh involves suffering.所以战胜肉体需要受苦。 “now I wanna pick up a movie to watch我现在想找个电影看看…I wanna play computer games right now…我现在想玩电脑游戏” But the Spirit within us says, 但是圣灵在里面提醒我们，“Pick up your bible, 拿起圣经，come and spend time with Me. 来花时间亲近我。” “I wanna save this amount of money to buy a fancy car, or fancy clothing or fancy…我把这笔钱攒起来，去买一辆好车、名牌衣服或…”

But the Holy Spirit speaks within us,但是圣灵在我们里面说 “Give this amount of money to the poor, you’ll have treasure in heaven. 把这些钱分给穷人，你就有财宝在天上” ‘ooh, no, Lord, don’t be so cruel to me.哦，不要，主啊，不要对我这么残忍” Do we really believe God is good? 我们真的相信神是良善的神？And believe that whatever He does to us is love? 并且相信无论他做什么都是因为爱我们？

No matter how much theological knowledge we store in our minds, 无论头脑里储存了多少的神学知识，if we satisfy our own wills and put God’s will to suffer,要是我们满足自己的意思，而让神的意思受苦， we’ll stagnate. 我们就停滞不前了。Paul the apostle here tells us,使徒保罗告诉我们， that just taking short momentary pleasure from satisfying our own wills仅仅从自己的意思得满足里 获得短暂的快乐，isn’t worth comparing with the glory that will be given us in the end if we suffer from denying our own wills.与丧掉自己的意思所带来的荣耀相比，是不值一比的。The glory is far beyond what we can think and imagine.  因为这个荣耀远超过我们的想象。

2, Transformation starts in our hearts. 更新从内心开始

For this purpose, 为这个缘故，God put His Spirit in us, 神将祂的灵放在我们里面， so that we call out, 所以我们呼求“Abba, Father, transform me to be more like Your Son.” “阿爸父，求你更新我，使我更像你的儿子！”Transformation starts with the transformation of our hearts. 更新改变始于我们内心的转变。 Because whatever we see outside reflects something of the inside. 因我们从外面看到的一切都反映了我们的内心。

Our behaviour reflects the way we do life and relationships, 我们的行为反映出我们处事为人的方式， but that flows out of something within us. 但那是从内心所存的流露出来的。So Jesus himself says所以耶稣亲自说， that God pays attention to the health of our hearts, 神关注的是我们内心的健康 rather than just what good we do outwardly, 不是外在的善行， but what our heart thinks or meditates on matters. 而是我们内心的思想才是最重要的。“7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: 8 “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 9 They worship me in vain… 11 What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him unclean, but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him unclean..19, for out of the heart come evil thoughts…Matt 15:7-9，11，19）7假冒为善的人哪！以赛亚指着你们说的预言是不错的。他说：8‘这百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，心却远离我，9他们……拜我也是枉然。’11入口的不能污秽人，出口的乃能污秽人。” …19因为从心里发出来的……（太15:7-9，11，19） Firstly, 首先，Jesus judged the people who just do good outwardly as hypocrites. 主耶稣判断那些只外在行善的人是假冒为善的。Secondly, 其次，Jesus pointed out 耶稣指出，that God’s desire is to get people’s hearts. 神的心意是要得着人的心。When you chase a girlfriend (boyfriend), 当你追求一个女朋友(男朋友)， when you capture the heart, 当你俘获了人的心，you get the person. 你就得到了那个人。 In the same way, 同样， when God fully gets our hearts, 当神完全得着我们的心， He gets us fully. 祂就完全得着了我们。 That’s why the greatest commandment says, 这就是为什么最大的诫命说: Love the Lord your God with all your heart. Mark 12:30a. “你要尽心爱主你的神。”（可12:30上）。God wants our hearts to be transformed like Christ神希望我们的心转变如同基督的心， who loves the Father with all his heart, 全心全意爱父，so that Christ  doesn’t do anything to please himself. 基督不做讨自己喜悦的事。

Thirdly, 第三，the heart is the place where evil thoughts generate. 心是邪恶意念的生发之地。 Therefore, the heart is the focus of Jesus’ ministry. 因此，处理心的问题是主耶稣福音事工的焦点。Because “the Lord doesn’t look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.1 Samuel 16:7” 因为【撒上16:7】……耶和华不像人看人，人是看外貌，耶和华是看内心。People look at something external, 人们只看外在，what’s your highest degree? 你的最高学历是什么?What do you have? 你有什么?These are the major things people focus on about you. 这是人对你所关注的重点。 But God looks inside people. 但神看的是人的内心。

If the heart is in bondage, 如果你心在捆绑中，the whole body is not free, 你整个人就不得自由，no matter what you have. 无论你拥有什么都无济于事。 When you pay attention to Jesus’ teachings, 当你留心察看主耶稣的教导， you’ll find that they’re all about the purity of the heart.你会发现它们都是关乎内心的清洁。 Jesus teaches in the Beatitudes, 耶稣在天国八福中教导我们说: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” “清心的人有福了，因为他们必得见　神。”  Do you want to see God? 你想看见神吗？encounter God?想遇见神吗?Focus on purity of heart. 定睛于清洁的心。Every day, ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart, 每天求圣灵监察你的心. the heart of Christ is our mirror. 基督的心就是你的镜子。We need to check our hearts我们当检查我们的心, “Is my heart (attitude) aligned with Christ’s?” 我的心（态度）和基督的心一致吗？

Then Jesus goes on to主耶稣又继续说： Matt 5: 27-28, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 【太5:27-28】“你们听见有话说：‘不可奸淫。’只是我告诉你们：凡看见妇女就动淫念的，这人心里已经与她犯奸淫了。We say, “No, Lord, I didn’t commit adultery.” 我们说：“没有，主啊，我没有犯奸淫…”Because we are talking about actions. 因我们在说外在的行为。But God says,但是神说： “if your heart has given room to lustful thoughts, “如果你心里动了淫乱的意念，you have already committed adultery in your heart.”你已经犯奸淫了。”

In the same way, 同样地，in Matthew 7, when Jesus said, 在马太福音7章耶稣说：“don’t judge.” “你们不要论断人。” If we’ve got offence in our hearts, 如果我们心里生气， we’ll feel offended all the time. 我们就会一直觉得被冒犯，and we can’t stop passing judgement on others in our hearts. 并不能停止在心里论断人。 Because we interpret people’s actions according to what is in our heart. 因为你会根据自己心里的判断去解读别人的行为。If you’re offended with your mum or dad, 如果你生气不饶恕自己的父母， you’ll be offended by authority figures all your life. 你一生都会感到被权柄人物冒犯（和他们对着干）And life won’t go well for you.你的日子就不会好过。So we need to repent. 所以我们需要悔改

Pro 4:23 says, “Above all, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” 【箴4:23】你要保守你心，胜过保守一切（或作“你要切切保守你心”），因为一生的果效，是由心发出。It says, 这经文说， we express life from our hearts. 我们一生的果效是由心发出的。If there is bitterness stored in your heart, 你若心存苦毒，no matter what you have, 无论你拥有什么，there is no joy in your life. 你的生命都没有喜乐。If you store poverty in your heart, 你若内心贫穷， no matter what you have, 无论你拥有什么，you feel poor. 你都感到贫穷。 If you store insecurity in your heart, 你若心存不安全感，no matter what you have, 无论你拥有什么， fear, comparison, jealousy flow out from your life. 惧怕、比较、嫉妒都会从你的生命中涌出。We interpret life from our hearts. 什么样的心流露出什么样的生命。The heart is what God looks at心是神所关注的and wants to deal with. 所要处理的。Because our Jesus is pure in heart, 因为我们主耶稣的心是清洁的，and He wants us to be pure in heart like him. 祂愿意我们的心也像祂一样清洁。 When the inside is clean, 当里面干净了，the outside will be clean as well外面也就干净了 (see Matt 23:26). (见太23:26)。That’s why 这就是为什么说，transforming the heart is transforming life. 改变心就改变了生命。

3, Transforming our hearts by not entertaining evil thoughts.拒绝心怀恶念达成心意更新

Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” 你要专心仰赖耶和华，不可倚靠自己的聪明，(箴言 3:5) The heart is where we show our faith to God. 心是我们向神表达信的地方，When we say we’re being transformed, 当我们说我们被改变，we actually are being transformed in our hearts实际是我们的心在被更新，from trusting in ourselves to trusting in God. 从倚靠自己转变为倚靠神。The heart is where we receive love, peace, and joy. 心是我们接受爱、平安和喜乐的地方，The heart is where we encounter and worship God, 是我们遇见神，敬拜神的地方

If the heart is broken and bitter, 心若受伤了，有苦在心里，we won’t feel love and we won’t recognise God’s work, 我们就感受不到爱，也认不出神的工作， and we are blind. 人就瞎了。Then, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to check our own hearts and repent. 这样，我们就需要让圣灵来鉴察内心并悔改。 Because the heart is where God looks for faith from us. 因心是神向我们要信心的地方。 In Jesus’ ministry, we see that He dealt with the heart everywhere he went. 在耶稣的每个服事之处，我们看到祂都是在处理心的问题。 In Matt 9:1-4, Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town. 2 Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.” 3 At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!” 4 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? 耶稣上了船，渡过海，来到自己的城里。 有人用褥子抬着一个瘫子到耶稣跟前来。耶稣见他们的信心，就对瘫子说：“小子，放心吧！你的罪赦了。” 有几个文士心里说：“这个人说僭妄的话了。” 耶稣知道他们的心意，就说：“你们为什么心里怀着恶念呢？ (太 9:1-4)

In the context, Jesus forgave sins and healed the paralyzed. 这里的背景是耶稣赦免并医治了一个瘫子， But some experts of the law judged Jesus in their hearts as a blasphemer. 可一些律法师心里论断他说僭妄的话，Then Jesus said,于是耶稣说， “why do you entertain evil thoughts in your heart?” “你们为什么心里怀着恶念呢？ Jesus knows what our hearts think. 他知道我们心里说的话， He cares about what thoughts our hearts entertain. 他看重我们心里所接待的意念。

When we entertain someone, 我们接待谁，we welcome them, 就是欢迎谁，we allow them in. 就请谁进家门。 In fact, we do not entertain enemies, 实际上，我们不会欢迎我们的敌人，we entertain friends. 我们欢迎我们的朋友。When you entertain someone, 当我们招待什么人，you give them a place to stay, 就给地方让他们呆，you open doors for them to come in. 就打开门请他进来。 That’s what entertain means. 这就是招待的意思。Do you entertain negative thoughts? 你是接待负面意念呢？ Or do you entertain the commands of God?还是接待神的吩咐？

Satan knows how to stagnate us. 撒旦知道怎样让我们停滞不前。In this sinful and negative world, 在这个罪恶和负面的世界，everyone has evil or negative thoughts crossing his mind. 每个人心里都会有邪恶和负面的意念进来，Someone may come to you just to speak negative words and want you to agree. 有人会找上你，对你说负面话，并想让你同意，Satan wants us to entertain negative thoughts撒旦想我们接待负面消极的思想，and stop us from being transformed into Jesus likeness. 以阻止我们更新成为耶稣的样式。When we face negative circumstances, 当不好的环境来到，Covid-19, 比如新冠来了，or perhaps we suddenly face some problems, 或突然临到的一些问题like health problems, 像健康突然出状况了、or a financial crisis, 或财务面临危险了、 or relationship problems. 或人际关系出问题了，Negative thoughts just come across our minds, 我们心里就会来一些负面意念， “why me? “为什么是我？ Why does God allow this to happen to me?” 神为什么允许这种事发生？”““she is so wrong, ok, I forgive, 她做的太错了，好吧我饶恕but…but…但是…但…”

It’s inevitable that everyone in this world has negative thoughts crossing his mind. 负面的意念不可避免，这世上每个人都会有，But what we do with them when they come matters. 但是，它们来的时候，我们要怎么处理才是重点。Do you entertain them? 你是接待它们？Do you welcome them as your friends? 当成朋友欢迎它们？Is there room for them in your heart? 心里留地步给它们？ Our minds are never free of thoughts. 我们心里的各种意念是从不会断的

The thoughts in our hearts is the battle we need to fight until the end.  在我们心里的意念是我们需要去打仗争战到最后的，The battles we see outside are simply the reality of the battles inside. 外面的争战只是内里争战的实际。So Jesus tells us, 因此主耶稣教导我们，don’t entertain evil thoughts (negative thoughts).不要心怀恶念（即负面思想）。

When we welcome negative thoughts, 我们接待欢迎负面意念， we welcome Satan to come in, 就是欢迎撒旦进来，when we submit to him, 当我们顺从他，we’re stopped from being transformed into Christ likeness, 就在被更新成为耶稣样式的进程中停滞下来，no matter what good we do outwardly, 无论我们外在做的多好 until we confess, repent and renounce, 直到我们认罪悔改，we therefore go into battle again.才又进入战场。The enemy will never stop knocking at the door of our hearts. 仇敌永远不停地敲我们的心门。He knocks, who is there? 他在敲门，是谁啊？Pride, comparison, and inferiority…骄傲，比较，自卑…He will continue to knock, who is there? 他继续敲，是谁啊fear, unforgiveness, and rejection. 惧怕 不饶恕, 被拒绝。Who is there? 又是谁啊？Anger, disappointment judgement…lust…怒气、灰心、论断……贪欲……Satan will keep knocking, 撒旦会不停地敲门，until you open up to negative thoughts. 直到你打开门让负面思想进来。 That’s why Psa 1:1-2 teaches us, 所以诗篇1：1-2这样教导我们， “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked…but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.” 不从恶人的计谋……惟喜爱耶和华的律法，昼夜思想，这人便为有福！(诗篇 1:1-2)

A man who walks in the counsel of the wicked starts with entertaining evil thoughts in his heart. 一个人要从恶人计谋，首先是从心怀恶念开始，But we’re taught to harbour and to meditate on the commands of God at all times. 但神教导我们任何时候都要心里思想默想神的命令，Don’t leave your mind empty and so create spaces for Satan to come in. 不要让心里一片空白，以致于容撒旦趁机进来。Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 不要效法这个世界，只要心意更新而变化，叫你们察验何为　神的善良、纯全、可喜悦的旨意。(罗马书 12:2)

How to be transformed by the renewing of the mind? 怎样心意更新而变化？1, Don’t open doors for worldly concepts, views, values and thoughts. 1、拒绝世界的观念、看法、价值观和想法；2, Meditate on the word of God frequently in our hearts. 2、常在心里默想神的话；3, Believe God’s will is good at all times. 3、任何时候都相信神的意思是好的。 When we’re on the journey of transformation, 我们在变化更新的路程中， our minds need to be renewed by the truth, 我们的思想也要被真理更新， when we face negative situations, 当我们在面对不好的环境时，we’re gonna believe these things only give us more zeal to depend on God. 我们要相信这些事只是为让我们更加去依靠神。Don’t entertain negative thoughts which make you become negative, 不要心怀恶念，以致成为负面， “why is this happening to me?”说“为什么会发生在我身上？”

“Satan, get behind me. 撒旦，退我后面去。Yes, I’m facing a situation which seems negative, 是的，看起来我遇到不好的事， but God will work out a positive result但神会叫坏事变好事。”. You’ve gotta believe this. 你得信，Yes, you’re facing a challenge, 是的，你遇到挑战，your challenge is to promote you. 挑战是为了提升你；Yes, you’re facing a setback, 是的，你遇到挫折，but your setback is for your breakthrough. 挫折是为了让你突破； You’re facing failure, 你遇到失败， your failure is to prepare you for success. 失败是为预备你成功。Because God works for the good of those who love Him. 因神叫万事互相效力，让爱神的人得益处。There is a condition to fulfil这里有个条件需要去满足, if we love God如果 我们爱神, as a result,因此 He’ll work for the good for us祂使坏事变好事. If we overcome evil with good, 如果 我们以善胜恶，whether we’re in a dark moment or a troubling moment, 无论我们是在一个黑暗的时刻，或是困境里，if we allow our own wills to suffer, 如果 我们让自己的意思受苦， and if we harbour the mind of Jesus in our hearts, 如果 我们在心里思想基督，and resist entertaining evil thoughts, 并抵挡一切恶念，we’ll be made more like Christ the Son and will know God’s will better. 我们就会被改变更像基督，并更多认识神的旨意.

Just like Joseph said to his brothers who had sold him as a slave to Egyptians, 就如约瑟对那些把他卖去埃及的哥哥们所说， ‘you intended this for evil but God allowed it for good, so that His purpose will be accomplished.” 从前你们的意思是要害我，但　神的意思原是好的，要保全许多人的性命，成就今日的光景。创世记 50:20 ） What we are facing today which seems negative我们今日面临的境况，看起来不好，will be used by God to accomplish His purpose in our life. 但神要用它来成就关乎我们生命的旨意.
