(Matt 6:9-13) （太6:9-13）

A week ago, we looked at the “Prayer”我们上周分享了“论祷告”, that Jesus teaches us主教导我们, if we pray in secret我们若在暗中祷告, not to please ourselves or men but God不为讨自己和人的喜欢，而是讨神喜欢, we will be rewarded by the Father父必报答我们. But what do we pray in secret that can be rewarded那么，我们在暗中祷告些什么，可得天父的报答呢? Can we receive a reward just because we pray secretly我们是不是只要暗中祷告, and pray whatever we want to不管祷什么，就可得报答呢? The twelve disciples had the same question十二门徒也问相同的问题. From Luke 11在《路加福音》十一章, the disciples asked Jesus门徒问耶稣, “Lord, teach us to pray 求主教导我们祷告.” Surely毫无疑问, the disciples knew how to pray门徒知道怎么祷告, but they just didn’t know how to pray as Jesus Christ prayed但就是不知道怎样象耶稣基督那样祷告, because they saw how the Father replied to Christ’s prayer powerfully因他们看到了天父怎样以大能回应基督的祷告, and enabled him to heal the sick使基督医治病人, cast out demons赶出污鬼, and raise the dead使死人复活.

As for us, how can we pray in a powerful way我们怎样才能有大有能力的祷告呢? Our Lord Jesus didn’t teach his disciples how to preach in the bible主耶稣没有教导门徒怎样讲道, but how to pray而是教导怎样祷告! That’s the Lord’s prayer那就是主祷文! It’s a portable kingdom-centred prayer这是一段简便而又以国度为中心的祷告, but it includes all that we need to ask for in God’s will却包含了全部照父旨意该祈求的内容! And it gives us a clue about how prayer can be powerful给我们一个线索，知道怎样让祷告大有能力! The recitation (our head knowledge) of the Lord’s prayer is not enough for us to understand God’s will只是口头（用头脑的知识）复述主祷文，不足以让我们明白神的旨意, but the devotional practice of the Lord’s prayer in faith can help and guide us to the ultimate goal 惟有在信心里操练这段主祷文，才能带我们进入最终目标.

Do you know what the ultimate goal is from God for us to pray in the light of the Lord’s prayer你知不知道，神要我们照着主祷文祷告，祂的最终目标是什么? “All of them may be one使他们都合而为一...Father, just as You are in me, I am in You正如你父在我里面，我在你里面...I in them and You in me使他们也在我们里面. May they be brought to complete unity使他们可以合而为一…”  (see John 17:21-22，约翰福音17:21-22) To become oneness成为一! We, God’s people我们这些神子民, will no longer say不再说, “I think我认为…” “no, I think不，我认为…”,  but become one in God’s will而是在父的旨意里成为一! One mind in Christ在基督里的同一个心志! (Romans 15:6, 2Cor 13:1, Phi 2:2, 1 Peter 3:8，罗马书15:6，林后13:1，腓立比书2:2，彼得前书3:8)

Do you remember in Gen 11:6还记得《创世纪11:6》节吗, when people tried to build the Tower of Babel人起来修造巴别塔, The Lord said this powerfully主这样说, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this他们都是一样的言语，如今既作起这事来, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them以后他们所要作的事就没有不成就的了.” It reveals a truth that unity is powerful这揭示了一个真理：就是合一是有大能的! Even in fallen humanity就算在堕落的人性里, if people were united to do evil人若联合起来行恶, they could accomplish great wickedness就会做成极大的恶事. So what if God’s people are united in the Spirit of truth神子民若在圣灵里合一, no longer themselves不再是自己, but with one mind in Christ而是在基督里同有一个心志，会发生什么事呢? Can you image what a far greater impact they could have on the world可想而知，那要给世界带来多大的影响力呢? “Then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them”以后他们所要作的事就没有不成就的了! 

Do you know why这是为什么? Because when God’s people deny the desires of the flesh因神子民否定肉体私欲, and are united in Jesus在耶稣里联合, it’s no longer people doing it那就不再是人在作, but the Omnipotent God而是全能神在做! That’s powerful那会多强啊! Then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them他们所要作的事就没有不成就的了! In other words换句话说, then God’s church will have a far greater impact on the world than we can think or imagine神的教会将带给世界超乎想象的冲击力! That’s the ultimate goal that the Lord’s prayer will achieve if we really live in the Lord’s prayer like Jesus did我们若住在这祷告里，象主那样，这主祷文就要带我们进入这最终目标. 

1, The truth about Our Father in Heaven.关于天父的真理

So Jesus teaches us to pray耶稣教我们祷告说, “Our father in heaven我们在天上的父”.  He doesn’t say that we should pray他没有教我们祷告说, “my Father in heaven我在天上的父”, It’s OUR Father in heaven是 我们 在天上的父! Obviously很明显, this prayer is not about individualism它不是个人主义的祷告. But to bring us together into an idea而是把我们一起带进一个观念, in which we are brothers and sisters united as a family就是我们弟兄姊妹都是一家人. It’s relationship based它是基于关系的祷告! It’s not religion based不是基于宗教的祷告! God in heaven who is OUR Father天上的神是 我们大家的 父亲! When we cry out “Our Father in Heaven”当我们呼求“我们在天上的父”, we declare a fact that we have a relationship with the Creator God我们就宣告一个事实，就是我们与造物主有一个关系, who is Our Father祂是我们的父! We together are His children我们全是祂的儿女! And no longer fatherless children我们不再是孤儿! No matter how sad it was不管过去你有多难过, if you had an absent earthly father when you were growing up若在你长大的过程中，地上的爸爸常不在身边, or you didn’t have a father或者你没有爸爸, or a bad father或者有一个糟糕的爸爸…Now you have the best Father现在你有一位最好的爸爸, that is your God就是神!

Our Heavenly Father says我们天上的父说, “forget the former things你们不要纪念从前的事, do not dwell on the past也不要思想古时的事, see, I am doing a new thing看哪，我要作一件新事! Isa 43:18，赛43:18” What kind of a new thing that has been done for us祂为我们作的是什么新事? Isa 9:6（赛9:6）, For to us a child is born因有一婴孩为我们而生, to us a Son is given有一子赐给我们, and the government will be on his shoulders政权必担在他的肩头上. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor他名称为奇妙策士, Mighty God全能的神, Everlasting Father永在的父, Prince of peace和平之君. Jesus is the everlasting Father主耶稣就是永在的父! A Father who cares for you一位关心我们, nurtures you抚育我们, supplies your needs供应你我需要, trains and corrects you for your good训练指正我们使我们得益处的父亲, not only physically不单是身体上的, but also spiritually还有精神上的, mentally 思想上的from beginning to the end自始至终, He will never forsake you or reject you祂永不撇下你、也不离弃你! He is the best Father for you祂是你最好的父亲! Is this especially good news for us是不是个特别的好消息?

Satan might tell you that you were an accident撒旦可能告诉你，你的出生是个意外, your parents might tell you that they didn’t plan to have you你父母可能说他们并没有想生你. They didn’t want you他们不想要你. You may have believed that you are not as lucky as those who have a good earthly father你可能相信了一个谎言，别人有个好爸爸，他们比你幸运. But the truth tells us真理却说, ever since Adam and Eve turned away from God’s commands自从亚当和夏娃离弃了神的吩咐, the whole world has become fatherless全世界都成了无父的孤儿, like Jeremiah said就象耶利米所说, “Remember, O, Lord, what has happened to us耶和华啊，求你记念我们所遭遇的事; look and see our disgrace观看我们所受的凌辱…We have become orphans and fatherless我们是无父的孤儿.” (see Lamentations 5:1,3，见 耶利米哀歌5:1,3)

It is our sin and rebellion that cause us to become orphans and fatherless是我们的罪和悖逆，让我们成了无父的孤儿! But Our Heavenly Father is full of mercy and grace但我们的天父满有怜悯和恩典, even if we forsake Him就算我们离弃祂, He doesn’t forsake us祂不离弃我们. He sent His Son Christ Jesus to be our sin offering to redeem us祂差爱子耶稣基督来拯救我们，成为我们的赎罪祭. You know why这是为什么?  4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight就如神从创立世界以前，在基督里拣选了我们，使我们在他面前成为圣洁，无有瑕疵. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will又因爱我们，就按着自己意旨所喜悦的，预定我们藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分. Eph 1:4-5a，以弗所书1:4-5上.  

This is the truth这是真理! It tells us它告诉我们, that you aren’t an accident in this world你来到世上不是偶然! Not only aren’t you an accident不仅不是偶然, but also而且, you are deliberately purposed to be born into this world你是被特意生出的! You are chosen by God你是神所拣选的! God, your Father has a purpose for you神，你的天父，为你定了一个目的! God, your Father, has a plan for you神，你的天父，为你定了一个计划! Have you sought out the purpose that God placed in your lives你有没有找出神放置在你生命中的目的? Do you live on purpose every day你每天为此目的而活吗? “forget the former things你们不要纪念从前的事, do not dwell on the past也不要思想古时的事, forsake the old way离弃旧路! Turn to live for purpose为这目的而活!

2, The purpose that we should live for as children of God.神儿女当为神赐的目标而活

What’s the general purpose for us to live for in the Bible? 圣经对我们该怎样活着的普遍目标是怎么说的? Here are some powerful bible verses这里有些极有力的经文, that we can practice to live for it可以用来操练: 1 Corinthians 8:6（林前8:6） yet for us there is but one God然而我们只有一位神, the Father就是父, from whom all things came and for whom we live万物都本于他，我们也归于他; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ并有一位主，就是耶稣基督, through whom all things came and through whom we live万物是藉着他有的，我们也是藉着他有的.  Re 4:11（启示录4:11下） For You created all things因为你创造了万物, and by Your will they were created and have their being并且万物是因你的旨意被创造而有的.

In other words换言之, there is one God in heaven天上有一位神, who is our Father神是我们的父亲. He created all things by His will祂照自己的旨意创造了万物, so that all things exist万物就有了. Therefore, we exist因此，我们就有了. From Him all things came万物从祂而来, from Him, we (you and me) came into this world我们（你和我）从祂那里来到世界. For Him we live我们为祂而活! Do you know, why we worry about lots of things你知道为什么我们忧虑很多事吗? Why didn’t the Son Christ Jesus worry about anything when he was living in this world为什么耶稣基督在世时，他无忧无虑? Although he didn’t have his own house to stay in overnight尽管他没有自己的房子可住, and didn’t have money to pay the temple tax他口袋里没有一块钱交税, although people didn’t believe his words and tried to kill him人也不相信他的话，甚至还想杀他, he didn’t worry or complain about anything他却不忧虑也不抱怨, but trusted in the Father’s love而是信靠神的爱. Why为什么?

Because he knew the purpose for which he was here因他知道自己来这里的目的, where he came from知道自己从哪里来, and where he would go要去哪里, and he lived for the Father’s will alone他只为父的旨意而活! The bible tells us圣经里记载, that before Jesus’ betrayal耶稣被卖之前, at the Last Supper最后的晚餐上, when Jesus was about to wash his disciples’ feet他正要为门徒洗脚, it says经上说, “Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father耶稣知道自己离世归父的时候到了.” John 13:1a, 约13:1上

Do you see看到了吗? Because of the genuine faith of living on purpose Christ Jesus had因为耶稣基督真实的信心使他活在使命目标里, he worried about nothing祂就什么也不忧虑, complained about nothing什么也不抱怨, and feared nothing什么也不怕, even when his earthly life was taken away哪怕他地上的生命被取去! Christ knew that he had finished his task基督知道自己完成了使命. That’s the secret这就是秘诀! Live on purpose为使命目标而活! Do you know why you are here你知道自己为什么在这儿吗? What task God has called you to do in your life time神呼召你在今生做什么? Have you sought out the purpose that He has placed in your life你有没有找到神在你生命中设定的使命计划? Seek, and you will find it寻找，就必寻见! If we live for the Father alone你若单为父而活, we will worry about nothing就什么都不忧虑! But how但是，怎样单为父而活呢?

Through Christ Jesus our Lord藉着主耶稣! The victorious Son is in us得胜的神儿子在我们里面! Because through Jesus Christ our Lord we came因为我们藉着耶稣基督来到世上! The new life (the born-again life) in us which wasn’t of blood我们里面的新生命（重生的生命）不是从血气生的, nor of the desires of the flesh不是从情欲生的, nor of the will of men也不是从人意生的, but was born again by God’s Spirit乃是从神的圣灵生的! Flesh gives birth to flesh从肉身生的就是肉身, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit从灵生的就是灵. (John 3:6，约3:6) Our flesh我们的肉身, which feeds on all earthly values counts for nothing被世界的价值观喂养，是无益的, The Spirit gives life叫人活着的乃是灵; the flesh counts for nothing肉体是无益的. The words I have spoken to you are the Spirit and they are life我对你们所说的话就是灵，就是生命. John 6:63，约6:63.

How do we live on purpose like our Lord lived on the earth我们在地上怎样象主那样为使命目标而活呢? Through Christ we came and through feeding His words into our souls and walking in His words by the Holy Spirit藉着耶稣基督我们来到世上，靠着圣灵我们吃神的话，靠圣灵走在神的话语中! “Man does not live on bread alone人活着，不是单靠食物, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God乃是神口里所出的一切话. Matt 4:4，太4:4” Romans 11:36（罗11:36）, "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things因为万有都是本于祂，倚靠祂，归于祂. to Him be the glory forever愿荣耀归于祂! Amen阿门".

Our Father God is the source of all我们的父神是一切的源头! Everything that we need is in Him我们所需要的一切都在祂里面, for from Him are all things因万物也归于祂, all things live through Him万物藉着祂而有, who gives them life生命由祂所赐. Since He gave us life祂既然赐给我们生命, He will supply all our needs就一定供应一切所需! All our needs是全部所需! not all our sinful desires不是供应给肉体情欲所想的! For we came from Him我们本于祂, we live through Him我们依靠祂, and to bring glory TO Him我们归荣耀给祂! (So we live that is for the purpose of bringing glory to Him所以，我们活着的目的是为了归荣耀给祂)!

Think about the times when it becomes all about me instead of all about His will回想一下，每当不围绕神的旨意，内心充满自己，what happens会发生什么事? Trouble麻烦! We get ourselves in trouble我们给自己找麻烦. If anything or anybody causes our hearts to be troubled and lose peace若有什么人什么事，让我们的心愁烦，失去平静, we should turn to God, and pray就当转向神，祷告说, “Our Father in Heaven我们天上的父, you are not only my father你不只是我的父亲, but their father也是他们的父亲, and the source of all是一切的源头, I offer myself and them into Your hands我把自己和他们交在你手中, guide me to live for your purpose请引导我活出你的旨意, and live through You靠你而活, so that I may bring glory to You让我可以荣耀你! not my will but Yours be done不要照我的意思，只愿照你的旨意.” Think about this prayer想想这个祷告, if we change the centre from all about me to all about Him我们若把中心从自己转移到祂, His purpose will be done愿祂的旨意成就, we will live in His peace and joy就会活在平安喜乐中, and will see His glory revealed也必见到神荣耀的彰显! If we live on purpose just for Him我们若只为祂而活, through Him依靠祂, and to bring glory to Him like Christ the Son of God did像神儿子耶稣基督那样归荣耀给祂, nothing can push us down就没什么可以让我们跌倒! But the enemies will be put down under our feet正相反，仇敌会被我们践踏在脚底! It will bring glory to the Father荣耀就会归于父! For He is Holy祂是圣洁的!

3, Hallowed be Your name愿人都称你的名为圣

Our Lord teaches us to start our prayer with “our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name”主教导我们祷告这样开始“我们在天上的父，愿人都称你的名为圣”. What does “hallowed be Your name” mean“愿人都称你的名为圣”是什么意思? The Greek word “αγιασθήτω” is translated as “hallowed”希腊词“αγιασθήτω”被翻译为“被尊为神圣的”, which means意思是 “to sanctify使神圣, or to purposefully distinguish between what is holy and what is common或特意地区分神圣的和世俗的: between the sacred from the profane将神圣的由不洁的当中分别出来.” The whole phrase could be translated这句话就可翻译为, “May Your name be sanctified愿你的名为圣.” You may think that our Lord Christ Jesus is teaching us to praise God’s name你可能会认为主耶稣基督在教导我们赞美神的名, “Hallowed be Your name愿你的名为圣. May Your name be sanctified愿你的名为圣.” But it is more than a mere formula of praise但它绝不仅仅是一个赞美神的话! Why did our Lord want his disciples to desire the sanctity of God’s name为什么主要门徒切慕神的名为圣? What kind of story lies behind the sanctity of God’s name在这后面有怎样的故事呢? Let’s read Ezekiel 我们来读《以西结书》36:17-27， “Son of man人子啊, when the people of Israel were living in their own land以色列家住在本地的时候, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions在行动作为上玷污那地. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight好像正在经期的妇人那样污秽. 18 So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols所以我因他们在那地上流人的血，又因他们以偶像玷污那地，就把我的愤怒倾在他们身上. 19 I dispersed them among the nations我将他们分散在列国, and they were scattered through the countries四散在列邦; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions按他们的行动作为惩罚他们. 20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name他们到了所去的列国，就使我的圣名被亵渎, for it was said of them因为人谈论他们说, ‘These are the Lord’s people这是耶和华的民, and yet they had to leave his land是从耶和华的地出来的.’ 21 I had concern for my holy name我却顾惜我的圣名, which the people of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone就是在以色列家在所到的列国中所亵渎的.22 “Therefore say to the Israelites所以，你要对以色列家说, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says主耶和华如此说: It is not for your sake, people of Israel, that I am going to do these things以色列家啊，我行这事不是为你们, but for the sake of my holy name乃是为我的圣名, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone就是在你们到的列国中所亵渎的. 23 I will show the holiness of my great name我要使我的大名显为圣, which has been profaned among the nations这名在列国中已被亵渎, the name you have profaned among them就是在你们到的列国中所亵渎的. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes我在他们眼前，在你们身上显为圣的时候，他们就知道我们是耶和华.

From this passage从这段话, we can see two things我们看到两件事, firstly, God’s name is tied to His people首先，神的名和神子民联系在一起. V.20, says, 20节说到“For it was said of them, ‘These are the Lord’s people,因为人谈论他们说，这是耶和华的民” Their good or bad behaviour can bring praise or profanity to God’s name神子民的好行为或恶行，可使神的名受称赞或受亵渎. For example比如说, if a Christian blows up immediately when people haven’t met his standards in a job如果基督徒在工作中，因别人没有达到他的要求，就马上发怒, others see his action, and they may say别人看见了，就会说, “He is a Christian他还是个基督徒呢, what good is it to believe in Jesus信耶稣有什么用?” So God’s name is tied to His people就这样，神之名与神子民联系在一起. Secondly其次, God’s plan to restore His holy name involves a restoration among the nations神复兴祂圣名的计划，包括在万民万国中的复兴. 23 I will show the holiness of my great name我要使我的大名显为圣, which has been profaned among the nations这名在列国中已被亵渎, the name you have profaned among them就是在你们到的列国中所亵渎的. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes我在他们眼前，在你们身上显为圣的时候，他们就知道我们是耶和华.

It means that not only will Israel know that God is Holy意思是，不但以色列会认识神是圣洁的, but also all nations will know that God’s name is Holy万国都将认识神的名是圣洁的! “Holy Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is and is to come. 圣哉！圣哉！圣哉！主神是昔在、今在、以后永在的全能者。Re 4:8，启示录4:8” God desires that His name should be sanctified amongst His people神盼望祂的名在神子民中被尊为圣! But His name was profaned by the people of Israel because they sought out idols rather than God可祂的名却因以色列民追随偶像被亵渎了. The bible tells us经上说, “Their land is full of silver and gold他们的国满了金银; there is no end to their treasures财宝也无穷. Their land is full of horses他们的地满了马匹; there is no end to their chariots车辆也无数. 8 Their land is full of idols他们的地满了偶像; they bow down to the work of their hands他们跪拜自己手所造的, to what their fingers have made就是自己指头所做的. Isa 2:7-8，以赛亚书2:7-8.

What were their idols什么是他们的偶像? Wealth财富! and anything they made by their hands或者是任何手所造的! “Silver and gold金银” – wealth and money财富和金钱. “Horses马匹” - Cars and houses汽车和房子. “the work of their hands手所造的” – anything from men’s hands任何从人手而来的, even a good job can become an idol甚至一份好工作也可能成为偶像.

So Israel, God called them the first born son of God以色列人，神称为长子的 (see Exodus 4:22，见 出埃及记4:22)，failed to glorify God’s holy name没有荣耀神的圣名, because of idolatry因为拜偶像! The NT warned us《新约》警告我们, 7“And do not become idolaters as were some of them也不要拜偶像，象他们有人拜的. As it is written如经上所记, “The people sat down to eat and drink百姓坐下吃喝, and rose up to play起来玩耍…10 And do not grumble你们也不要发怨言, as some of them did像他们有发怨言的—and were killed by the destroying angel就被灭命的所灭. 1 Cor 10: 10，林前10:10” These verses reveal that if the people of God live without purpose这些经文给我们的启示是，神子民若活着没有目标, and if they don’t have the desire to bring glory to God’s name他们若不切慕荣耀神的名, but only want to satisfy their earthly desires若只想满足自己属地的情欲, they will always grumble and murmur他们就会抱怨嘀咕、老发牢骚, because their god will be their stomach因他们的神是他们的肚腹! That’s true这是真的! That’s why Paul the apostle warned us in the book of Philippians所以使徒保罗在《腓立比书》里警告我们 (see Phi 3:17-19，见 腓3:17-19)

Adam, the son of God (see Luke 3 38b) failed to glorify God’s holy name神的儿子亚当（见 路3:38下）没能荣耀神的名, because of disobedience因为悖逆的原因 (see Romans 5:19，见 罗5:19). Despite the failure of Adam and Israel尽管亚当和以色列人, who were the sons of God神的儿子们，都失败了, God will never fail但神总不失败! Christ Jesus耶稣基督, one of the Persons of the Holy Trinity三位一体的其中一位格, the Son of God神的儿子, who came and destroyed the work of the devil他来是除灭魔鬼的作为. By the cross our Lord Jesus Christ glorified God’s name借着十字架，耶稣基督荣耀了神的名! and Hallowed God’s name使神的名被尊为圣! In John 12:20-26（约12:20-26）, we find that the disciples were feeling honoured我们看到门徒感到有荣耀了, when some Europeans (Greeks) came, and requested to see their master因为来了一些欧洲人（希腊人）要求见耶稣. Would you feel honoured if someone flew over from other country and just to attend our church service要是有人从国外来专门为参加我们的聚会，你会不会觉得有荣耀啊? But the Lord corrected their views of what glory (honour) is然而，主纠正了他们的荣耀观，主眼中荣耀的时刻是：

John 12:23-28,约12:23-28节： Jesus replied耶稣说, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified人子得荣耀的时候到了. 24 Very truly I tell you我实实在在地告诉你们, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies一粒麦子不落在地里死了, it remains only a single seed仍旧是一粒. But if it dies若死了, it produces many seeds就结出许多子粒来. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it爱惜自己生命的，就失丧生命, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life在这世上恨恶自己生命的，就要保守生命到永生. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me若有人服事我，就当跟从我; and where I am我在哪里, my servant also will be服事我的人也要在那里. My Father will honor the one who serves me若有人服事我，我父必尊重他. 27 “Now my soul is troubled我现在心里忧愁, and what shall I say我说什么才好呢? ‘Father, save me from this hour父啊，救我脱离这时候’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour但我原是为这时候来的. 28 Father, glorify your name父啊，愿你荣耀你的名!” Then a voice came from heaven当时就有声音从天上来, “I have glorified it我已经荣耀了我的名, and will glorify it again还要再荣耀.”

What Jesus’ saying is that the glorified hour is not when the crowd seeks him because of his fame for performing sings and wonders主在说，荣耀的时候不是群众因他施行神迹奇事的名声来求见他的时候, nor when they speak well of him也不是人说他好的时候, but the times when he obeys God’s will to die to himself by being crucified on the Cross而是他遵行天父旨意向己死且死在十字架上的时候. Without crucifixion若不被钉死, there is no resurrection就没有复活! Our Lord Jesus also calls us to follow his way of taking up our crosses to follow him主耶稣也呼召我们背起自己的十字架跟从他! Let’s look at the verbs here我们来看经文, “falls to the ground (humble ourselves)落在地里（谦卑自己） --- dies (die and deny the flesh’s desires) 死了（向己死，否定肉体的情欲）---produces many seeds (life influences life)结出许多子粒来（生命影响生命） --- glorify God’s name荣耀神的名.” In verse 28第28节, our Father in heaven confirmed that only Christ’s way glorified His name我们天上的父 强调说只有基督的道路荣耀了祂的名!

When we pray当我们祷告, “Our Father in Heaven我们天上的父, hallowed be Your name愿人都尊你的名为圣”, we declare our identities that because of Christ’s sacrifice我们宣告我们的身份, we are now children of God因基督的牺牲，我们现在是神的儿女! We have this relationship with God who is in heaven我们与天上的神有了这种关系! Our Lord also teaches us to desire the sanctity of God’s name我们的主还教导我们要切慕让神的名为圣, when we pray当我们祷告, “Hallowed be Your name - Sanctify Your name愿人都尊你的名为圣,” we realise that our Father God’s name is Holy我们就当意识到我们天父的名是圣洁的! We realise that Adam the son of God failed to glorify God’s name before the temptation of the devil并意识到 神的儿子亚当受魔鬼的试探跌倒，没有荣耀神的名. And the Israelites also failed to glorify God’s name before the devil以色列民也在魔鬼面前跌倒，没有荣耀神的名.

But the only and beloved Son of God Christ Jesus overcame and destroyed the devil’s work然而，神的独生爱子耶稣基督得胜了，除灭了魔鬼的作为! Now, through Christ’s blood现在，藉着基督的宝血, we - His Church, has received the Spirit of sonship by grace我们——神的教会，靠恩典受了圣灵, and by him in faith we cry out藉着他我们在信心中呼叫, “Abba, Father阿爸，父.” Yes是, this is the Church age这是教会的时代! In other words换句话说, this is the Church’s turn现在轮到教会了! The whole universe is watching whether we the children of God who are living in the new covenant will bring glory to God’s name or not整个宇宙都在观看，新约时代的神儿女，我们-教会， since Christ Jesus has made his dwelling place in us自从耶稣基督已住在我们里面，是否可以荣耀神的名. The bible also clearly says that 圣经清楚明白地说“we have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men我们成了一台戏，给世人和天使观看. See 1 Cor 4:9，见 林前4:9”.   

We are tied to God’s name我们和神的名绑在一起! Our Father loves us我们的父爱我们! He chose us on purpose祂照祂的旨意拣选了我们! Christ shed His blood to demonstrate God’s love for us基督流宝血向我们显明神的爱! Now we are co-heirs with Christ现在，我们与基督同为后嗣! Yes是! That’s the fact that we came from Him这就是我们本于祂的事实, so that we should live through Him我们也应当依靠祂, and live For Him为他而活！（归于他）! That’s the purpose why we are here这是我们在这里的目的! We live for the purpose of bringing glory to Him我们是为荣耀祂的目的而活!

So we cry out in faith因此我们在信心里呼叫, “Abba, our father in heaven阿爸，我们天上的父, hallowed be Your name愿人都尊你的名为圣! may Your name be sanctified愿你的名为圣! Teach us Your way教导我们走你的道路, have Your way in us让你的道路存在我们里面, guide us to live for purpose引导我们为目标而活, strengthen our faith to embrace the Cross of Christ坚定我们的信心来拥抱十字架, so that we may live like Your holy children使我们可以如同圣洁的儿女, and to bring praise to Your Holy name through our daily lives在借我们的日常所行使你的名得着称赞!”
